Bobby Masterson

Robert “Bobby” Masterson has over 20 years of energy-related legal experience, with a focus on oil and gas transactional matters, the acquisition and divestiture of oil and gas producing and non- producing assets, commercial contracts, and land related matters.

Prior to joining Brazos Midstream, Bobby was Vice President – Land and General Counsel for Chief Oil and Gas LLC where he managed legal and land responsibilities, including providing legal support for operations, land, marketing, regulatory, and government and public affairs. Previously he spent nearly 13 years at XTO Energy Inc. as Senior Counsel. In this capacity, he was responsible for the company’s Delaware Division covering the New Mexico and West Texas assets and before that the Appalachia Division comprising of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and New York (with primary support for Pennsylvania and New York). Bobby began his tenure at XTO as a Senior Counsel handling the company’s Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma assets. Previously he was a Partner at Adams and Reese, LLP where he primarily focused on transactional matters related to exploration, development and production of oil and gas properties, both onshore and offshore. He began his career at Mobil Exploration & Producing U.S. Inc as a Landman.

Bobby earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and his J. D. from University of Oklahoma College of Law.
