In 2015, Brazos Midstream started with a small footprint in the Delaware Basin. Over a 10-year period, the company successfully developed one of the largest privately held natural gas gathering, processing, and crude oil gathering platforms in the region.
In June 2026, Brazos sold its Delaware Basin position to Western Midstream, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history and reflecting the value of the integrated midstream platform built over more than a decade. At the time of the transaction, the Delaware Basin system included approximately 910 miles of natural gas, crude oil, and produced water gathering pipelines, 460 MMcf/d of natural gas processing capacity, more than 125,000 horsepower of compression, and approximately 75,000 barrels of crude oil storage. The platform served more than 25 producer customers across Loving, Pecos, Reeves, Ward, and Winkler counties and was supported by more than 540,000 dedicated acres under long-term agreements. The transaction further demonstrated Brazos’ ability to identify strategic opportunities, execute large-scale infrastructure projects, and create long-term value for the company’s customers, investors, employees and other key stakeholders.
