Sr. Measurement Analyst
The Sr. Measurement Analyst reports directly to the Director of Measurement & SCADA and is responsible for daily monitoring, evaluating, and reporting measurement data in support of the Measurement function of the Company.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and editing daily and hourly measurement-related data to ensure timely and accurate measurement information for internal and external customers.
- Configuration and communications to EFM’s via AutoSOL ACM as required to validate data and create CFX files.
- Assist in the preparation of associated reports for various audiences, (i.e. daily and monthly balances, volume statements, gas/liquid compositional reports, Missing data, EIA Weekly/Monthly NGL, etc…).
- Monitor workflow for meter calibration reports and gas/liquid sampling throughout the month via FlowCal TESTiT.
- Review meter calibration and gas/liquid analysis reports; identify and report any concerns.
- Maintains meter/station data and validation rules within the gas measurement system.
- Audits volume, gas quality, electronic flow measurement and/or charts for completeness and accuracy and resolves discrepancies.
- Review and evaluate flow data on SCADA to identify potential problems and improve measurement quality.
- Validation of 3rd party Gas & Liquid Volume Statements
- Organization of meter data within the Company network (Analysis, Calibration Reports, Photos, emails, etc.)
Job Requirements
- Maintain paper and electronic files on all generated reports.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of “customers,” including Measure Technician, Producers, and management at all levels.
- Respond to complex and non-routine questions and concerns on measurement-related matters and provide proper feedback.
- Utilize knowledge of the business to help others to evaluate existing processes, incorporate enhancements, or automate manual processes.
- Utilizes and is knowledgeable of where to get information and resolve issues using the internal and external resources required with minimal guidance.
- Possesses strong working knowledge of Natural Gas Industry, AGA & API Standards.
- Ability to successfully plan, execute and complete various projects with minimal or no guidance; has a solid understanding of the underlying business rules and practices associated with natural gas measurement.
- Willing and able to work overtime, including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
- Familiarity with tariffs, measurement agreements and contracts.
- Some travel required – perhaps 25%.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interact with Oracle Database via Microsoft Access / Oracle SQL Developer
- MS Word, Excel, and Outlook experience required; Advanced formula writing in Excel, graphing, pivot-table operations, importing/exporting data between Excel and Access, emailing, save/send/copy/move/find files. Ability to learn specialized software as required.
- Self-motivated and able to work day-to-day independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to read, comprehend and apply information in operating manuals and industry standards.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Education / Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelors Degree in a related field or preferred
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in midstream gas gathering.
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience operating and maintaining FlowCal Gas & Liquids & Autosol ACM.
